IRISH BRED GOLDSTAR HUGO WINS JUNIOR INTERBREED & OVERALL CHAROLAIS JUNIOR MALE CHAMPIONSHIP AT HIGHLAND SHOW IN SCOTLAND.

Goldstar Hugo bred in the Goldstar herd of Martin Ryan, Cabra, Thurles, Co. Tipperary is by Jumper and out of Goldstar Florence by Major.  Florence was a first prize winner at the 2010 National Charolais Show.   Hugo a prize winner at numerous shows last summer was purchased by Gilbert Crawford from Londonderry at last year’s Tullamore National Livestock show.  Only 11 months old on show day he still took the Male Charolais Championship.

 

Irish breeding success did not stop there.

Andrew Hornall from the Falleninch Charolais herd in Stirling took the Paris Championship with  Falleninch Ireland and Falleninch Isabella, born January and May 2013.   Both were sired by Dereskit Fernando, senior male champion at the 2011 Christmas Cracker sale and bred by Basil Bothwell, Dereskit, Killeshandra, Co. Cavan.
