KNOCKMAHON IRELAND, getting his paperwork in order prior to export last week to the very successful pedigree Charolais Harestone Herd owned by Neil Barclay in North-East Scotland.  Set up in the early 80s Harestone has 200 pedigree breeding females along with a 1,000 commercial unit.  This outstanding young bull bred by Christy Comerford, Knockmahon Castlewarren, Co. Kilkenny generated interest from a number of top overseas herds and one Irish AI station. He is part of a consignment of eight pedigree Charolais cattle purchased by the Harestone Herd bringing the total of animals exported from the Knockmahon Herd in the last six months to fifteen. The Harestone Herd intends showing their new stock bull at shows in Scotland during this summer.

The bull is by Inverlochy Ferdie and out of Knockmahon Countess who is a maternal half sister to Knockmahon Hyacinth overall champion Charolais at the 2014 Tullamore AIB National Livestock Show.
