Jaquard is an exciting new French bull from which semen is now available from the Charolais Society. He is a son of the French sire, Houblon who is a very thick, well-made bull. His dam, Ecossaise was a RR4S cow in France. Jaquard himself is not a big bull, but has wonderful softness, style, shape and quality. He is recommended for medium to big cows to put style and shape into his progeny. The first calves seen of Jaquard in France had lovely quality, softness and breed character. At present Jaquard has a calving figure of 4.8%, a five-star replacement index of €89 and a terminal index of €107. However, the reliability of these figures is very low at present. JAQUARD is available from the Charolais Society at €41/straw inclusive of VAT.
