Inishowen show set to host €2,000 Charolais calf championship

On the 15th of July 2017, the Inishowen agricultural show will present the 1st North West (Open) Charolais Calf Championship, with a total prize fund of €2,000. There has been a large entry for all the calf classes this year. There has also been an increase in entry’s for the senior female championship and the senior male championship, from herds all across Donegal and the north west of Ireland.

A catalogue will be available on the day of the show including full pedigree details for each animal, as well as the individual star ratings.The show is also holding its 1st ever All Ireland Commercial Calf Championship. Judge for the day is Mr Will Shortt, who runs the 60 cow Woodpark pedigree Charolais herd in Co. Tyrone.
