CHAROLAIS WEIGHT FOR AGE – ONE OF THE KEYS TO PROFITABLE & SUSTAINABLE BEEF PRODUCTION

Below are the kill out’s of young pedigree Charolais bulls slaughtered and de-registered with the Society over a two month period this winter. They are from different farms, managed differently, slaughtered in different factories, and bred from different Charolais genetics.

One thing that is for certain in beef farming is we must produce beef as efficiently, environmentally friendly and cost effectively as possible, to be sustainable into the future. The above are just examples of how efficient the Charolais breed is in relation to weight for age, and highlights the ability of the breed to finish at a young age.
