The Irish Charolais Cattle Society are delighted to announce that there will be three new Charolais X classes at this year’s AIB National Livestock Show in Tullamore. The total prize fund for the three classes is a whopping €3,700. The three classes are as follows:
Class 266. Best Charolais X Male Calf

Prizes. 1st – €400 2nd – €300 3rd – €200 4th – €150 5th – €100
Rules and Conditions:
- Charolais male weighing up to 425 kg
- Calf must be sired a Charolais
- CH or CHX must appear on animal passport
- Prize winning calves may be required to give a DNA sample
- If DNA’d prize money will be paid after DNA results are confirmed
Class 267. Best Charolais X Female Calf

- Charolais female weighing up to 385 kg
- Calf must be sired by a Charolais

Class 285. Best Charolais X heifer or bullock with no more than 2 permanent teeth
