NEW FIELD OFFICER

The Society would like to announce that Shane Maguire from Kilbride in Co. Meath has been appointed as the Society’s new Field Officer.
Shane will be familiar to alot of members already. He is the owner of the multi-award winning Dundoire Pedigree Charolais herd, which he set up in 2021 and he is also a current sitting council member of the Society, having won his seat in 2024.
Such is Shane passion and commitment to the Charolais breed, he will be giving up his pedigree Charolais herd plus his council seat so he can take up this new position. He will be starting in January 2026.
As well as wishing Shane well in his new role, we would also like to take this moment to again thank John Beirne for this commitment to the Society and our members over the past 30 years. John’s dedication to the Society and to our Charolais breed has been second to none. He will be missed by us all and we wish him well in his retirement.
