The Irish Charolais Cattle Society have selected Eddie Daly as the winner of the Pedigree All-Star Award for 2025 for his bull Clonmahon Vadim.
Eddie is from Summerhill in Co. Meath and set up the Clonmahon Pedigree Charolais herd in December 1999.
Vadim is an exceptional young bull. Born 2nd September 2024, he is sired by Neptune and out of a Texan-Gie bred dam.
He enjoyed a remarkable summer on the show circuit last year, claiming championships across Ireland and firmly establishing himself as one of the standout Charolais calves of the season.
His victories included:-
– Charolais Champion at the Fingal Agricultural Show.
– Overall Charolais Champion and the Supreme Championship at the Royal Meath Show.
– Senior Male Calf Champion at our National Show in Tullamore.
– Senior Male Calf Champion at our National Calf Show in Carrick-on-Shannon.
– He also secured the Reserve Championship at the Society’s Christmas Cracker show/sale before going on to sell to a leading suckler herd in Mayo for €10,400.
Vadim is a truly deserving winner and a tremendous example of the breed’s quality and potential.
The awards ceremony took place last night in Portlaoise and the Society would like to congratulate Eddie and we wish him continued success for the future.
