Dear members,
It is with great sadness that we learn of the passing of Joe Gilfillan, a former president of our society. During a long and distinguished term as part of our council, Joe held all three officerships and did so with the same enthusiasm and commitment he showed breeding top quality Charolais over the years. Joe’s knowledge and keen eye for quality around both pedigree and commercials rings will live long in our memory.
The council and staff of the Irish Charolais Cattle Society would like to extend their deepest sympathies to Joe’s wife Mary and extended family. As a mark of respect, the Irish Charolais Cattle Society will form a guard of honour in Kilmore village following the funeral ceremony tomorrow morning at 11 am. Any members who wish to take part in the guard of honour are asked to gather in Kilmore village at 11.30 am.
May he rest in peace.
