Despite the best efforts of the wind and the rain the Christmas cracker once again attracted a huge crowd and the newly built showing and export centre in Elphin was much appreciated by all. The clearance rate of 80% from 103 bulls forward and following hard on the heels of two big sales in the same area within 8 days was driven by solid commercial demand with buyers present from many counties.
